Acupuncture is a branch of Traditional Chinese Medicine involving the use of very fine needles inserted at specific points for therapeutic benefit. The kind offered here at Cleo is NADA certified Auricular Acupuncture, which means it is carried out on the ears. If you are uncomfortable with needles this is also available without needles, as Acupressure.

You may be recommended to try group sessions or private sessions, depending on what you wish to treat. Below are some examples:

Group sessions                                   Private treatment

About Traditional Chinese Medicine

Health is all about balance, and chinese medicine describes opposing aspects as yin and yang. Neither is better or worse than the other; the key to good health is in balancing the two.

Symptoms caused by an excess of yin respond better when treated in groups, while symptoms caused by an excess of yang respond better when treated individually. It is for this reason that Cleo Aromatherapy has launched AcuSessions, to cater for both sides of imbalance.

What does this mean?

If you have yin symptoms we have scheduled group sessions that you can book yourself into every week.

If you have yang symptoms you can book a private session at a time that suits you

Since I started offering acupuncture mainly for cravings, withdrawal symptoms and insomnia, both myself and clients have noticed the clear and profound meditative state this induces. Now I would like to extend group sessions to those who want neither acupuncture or acupressure, but who wish to benefit from the dynamic group meditation experience.
